This week I also visited Tesco in Castlegate, Dudley, to talk to staff about National Supermarket Employee Day, which took place on the 22nd February.

Founders Day at Bramford Primary School

I thank Bramford Primary School for inviting me to their Founders’ Day assembly to celebrate the school being part of The Griffins School Trust.

All of the students were full of energy and I could see some of them had the passion to serve the community in the future.

Notice Served on Owners of Crooked House

The demolition of the Crooked House shook our community here in Dudley and across the Black Country, so it’s fantastic news that an enforcement notice has been served on the owners for demolition without consent.

Supporting our local pubs through raising 'Draught Relief'

I called on the Chancellor Jeremy Hunt to consider increasing the Draught Relief in his Budget in March.

Draught Relief reduces the tax burden on draught alcoholic products sold in on-trade venues, such as pubs.

New ownership at the Fountain Inn

I visited another local pub this week - the Fountain Inn. Michael - who recently took over the running of the pub - was a fantastic host.

I wish him luck in his endeavour.
