This week, I visited one of Dudley's traditional pubs - the Jolly Crispin in Upper Gornal. And accompanying me, the Save our Heritage Pubs campaigners: Ian Sandall and Paul Turner.

The narrative below explains my position, but to be clear: I want to ensure that this conflict, which has cost so many lives already, can be brought to a halt.

The Priory Park Pavilion, which used to operate as a cafe, has sadly been closed for some time.

So it is amazing to hear about efforts made by the Priory Park Boxing Club and team to reopen the building. This will be a relief to users and will uplift Priory Park.

Another heritage pub has caught my eye this week in Dudley: The Blue Brick Pub.

Brilliant initiative taken by Dudley Council Highways Cabinet Member Cllr Damian Corfield. I have long pushed for a pop up waste recycling site closer to home for my constituents.

After countless issues with Castle Meadows Nursing Home - and pressure from myself to take action in resolving them - I can finally relay some positive news on the situation.

I was delighted to pop into Brockswood Santuary in Sedgley last week. Neil and his utterly brilliant team look after dozens of animals there, which I had the pleasure of seeing.

I have written to South Staffordshire Council regarding a planning application in their area, in which I state my objection.

The area in question, Penwood Farm, is adjacent to Sedgley. Residents of Alder Coppice are closest to the site.

I am delighted to support Dogs Trust and The Kennel Club UK in their campaign to ban electric collars on pets.

Pets are valued members of the family, and it is unbelievable that we should even consider electric shocks as a way to manage them.
